Terms and conditions

  1. Work will commence only after the 50% payment has been paid and confirmed to be received by the Designer.

  2. Resources needed for the execution of this project, such as stock photos, fonts, plug-ins are not included in the prices above. Those will be paid for by the client, and the rights to use them shall be theirs.

  3. Payment structure: Upfront payment is 50% of the total fees, and 50% after approval of the final work, before handover of the final deliverables and finalising the project.

  4. Additional hours outside of the original project scope will be charged at £40 (~ $50USD) per hour.

  5. New components that are not described in the original scope of work will be assessed in a new quote.

  6. The business day count starts after the Client provides all resources requested, such as images, contact details, etc. Business hours are between 9pm – 11pm GMT on weekdays, 10am to 6pm GMT on weekends. Any communication outside of business hours will be responded to in the next available business hour. Responses may be earlier, but this is to the discretion of the Designer.

  7. To ensure the project goes smoothly and on-track with the estimated schedule, the Designer and Client are both expected to be available for meetings that are agreed upon in advance.

  8. The Designer is not responsible for any delays to the project when the Client fails to provide all resources in a timely manner (usually within 3 working days of agreement), or fails to participate in meetings scheduled in advance.

  9. The time limit for providing feedback during each revision round is 3 working days, and any feedback given beyond the time limit will be considered a delay, and will be given notice to respond in the next 7 consecutive working days. If the Client is unresponsive for 7 consecutive working days, the project will be put on hold and a re-activation fee of 35% of the total project fee is required to resume the project.

  10. Usage rights: The Client will own the rights to the final delivered design and its assets only after the 50% remaining fees are paid and confimed to be received by the Designer. The Designer retains all rights to any designs unused in the final deliverable(s), as well as an indefinite right to use the final deliverables only for portfolio and marketing purposes across print and digital channels.

  11. In the case of project cancellation, while it is ongoing, the client will only pay for the relative part of the work according to pre-agreed milestones. The upfront 50% payment is non-refundable unless the Designer is found to have committed gross misconduct which is unacceptable beyond reasonable circumstance.
